On March 14, on the initiative of Colonel Vaghinak Sargsyan, Commander of Border Guard Troops of the NSS of the RA, students of "Zatik" Yerevan Child Assistance Center (Ministry of Labor and Social Issues of the Republic of Armenia) were invited to Border Guard Troops of the NSS of the RA. Aim of the visit was to provide military-patriotic education for the younger generation, familiarize them with the history and activities of the troops for the further choice of the border guards’ profession.
The children visited the cynology center, where they were told about the faithful assistants of border guards - service dogs: how they live and serve in subdivisions of border. Cynologists showed the children the exhibits of the museum of the center. They told about the methods by which they are taught, demonstrated the course of training, skills of dogs in detecting and detaining people crossing the border illegally. Children actively participated in disassembling and assembling a machine gun and a pistol and studied the use of binoculars. Showing great interest in everything, the pupils asked their questions, receiving professional answers from border guards.
The teachers on their own behalf and on behalf of the leadership of the Center, expressed their gratitude for organizing an exciting and an informative excursion. The cooperation of the Border Guard Troops of the NSS of the RA with the "Zatik" Yerevan Child Assistance Center will be continuous.
